Setting Up Email Forwarding to Emson

To start receiving your support emails inside Emson, you need to forward emails from your support mailbox (such as support@mycompany.com) to the unique Emson address provided with your inbox (e.g. support@mycompany.emson.email).

This guide covers the steps for all major email providers. If yours isn’t listed, please consult your provider’s support documentation.

Tip

Setting up forwarding is essential for integrating your existing support email with Emson. If you haven’t created an Emson inbox yet, see inbox setup.

General Steps

  1. Copy your Emson inbox email address from your Emson dashboard.

  2. Log in to your email provider as your support email user.

  3. Create a forwarding rule to your Emson inbox address.

  4. Save changes and test by sending an email to your support address.

Gmail / Google Workspace

  1. Sign in at https://mail.google.com as your support email user.

  2. Click the gear icon and select See all settings.

  3. Open the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.

  4. Click Add a forwarding address.

  5. Enter your Emson inbox address and click Next, then Proceed, then OK.

  6. Emson will automatically approve Gmail’s confirmation email.

  7. Choose Forward a copy of incoming mail to and select your Emson address.

  8. Decide whether to keep Gmail’s copy or archive it.

  9. Click Save Changes.

Outlook.com / Microsoft 365

  1. Sign in at https://outlook.office.com with your support mailbox.

  2. Click the gear icon (Settings) and select View all Outlook settings.

  3. Go to Mail > Forwarding.

  4. Click Enable forwarding and enter your Emson address.

  5. (Optional) Check Keep a copy of forwarded messages if desired.

  6. Click Save.

Apple iCloud Mail

  1. Sign in to iCloud Mail.

  2. Click the gear icon at the sidebar and select Preferences.

  3. Go to the Accounts tab.

  4. In the Forwarding section, check Forward my email to.

  5. Enter your Emson inbox address.

  6. (Optional) Select Delete messages after forwarding.

  7. Click Done.

Zoho Mail

  1. Sign in to Zoho Mail.

  2. Click the gear icon and go to Mail Settings.

  3. Under Email forwarding and POP/IMAP, click Email Forwarding.

  4. Click Add Email Address and enter your Emson inbox address.

  5. Zoho will send a verification message — it will be automatically approved by Emson.

  6. Once verification is confirmed, enable forwarding for your Emson address.

Yahoo! Mail

  1. Log in to Yahoo! Mail.

  2. Click Settings > More Settings.

  3. Select Mailboxes.

  4. In Forwarding Address, enter your Emson inbox address and click Verify.

  5. Yahoo sends a confirmation email to Emson (automatically approved).

  6. After verification, forwarding will be enabled.

Fastmail

  1. Sign in to Fastmail.

  2. Go to Settings > Rules > Forwarding.

  3. Click Add Rule.

  4. Enter your Emson address and set forwarding preferences.

  5. Click Save.

Other Providers

If you use another email service:

  1. Log in to your provider’s webmail or admin portal.

  2. Find Forwarding, Filters, or Rules settings.

  3. Set up a rule to forward all relevant messages to your Emson inbox address.

  4. Confirm and test the configuration.

Tip

If your provider needs verification, the confirmation email will be delivered to your Emson inbox and automatically confirmed.

Troubleshooting

  • If messages do not appear in Emson, double-check the forwarding rule and that forwarding is actually enabled.

  • Test with a new email to your original support address.

  • Keep a copy of forwarded mail in your own mailbox for redundancy, if possible.
